We welcome you to our modern croft bungalow with spectacular views of historical Strathcarron from our dining room where home cooking and baking is served. Farm work keeps crofter in full time occupation with beef cattle, hill sheep, and a small red deer herd.
Ducks, hens, geese etc., give our grandchildren plenty to do when they come to stay. Ideal area for walking, birdwatching, fishing, golf. Bicycles available. Very central for touring.
This hill farm carries 1000 Cheviot ewes. The 200 year old farmhouse overlooks the deer forest. Home cooking and baking are the speciality of this hospitable family. Downstairs ensuite bedroom.The area is for those who appreciate wildlife and find hillwalking a pleasure. At top of the glen is the Thomas Telford designed Croick Church, visited by many people every year. Glen Calvie Falls with its fine salmon leap is just five miles from the farm.
The 118 acre farm has a panoramic view overlooking the Bay of Ireland and the islands of Hoy and Graemsay. The main enterprise on the farm is fattening beef cattle. Home baking and cooking a speciality of this farmhouse.
Within a distance of 3 miles of the farm is the historic tomb of Maes Howe, the famous Standing Stones and Ring of Brodgar. Free fishing on loch and sea.
Our home was formerly a keepers cottage set in 22 acres where peace, quiet and comfort are assured. We offer warm rooms tastefully decorated and all with hostess trays. Our guests lounge offers panoramic view of Ben Loyal with peat/log fires in winter. We offer traditional based menus, changing daily with local game and seafood often featured. Table Licence. An ideal base for exploring Sutherland and Caithness, being midway between Cape Wrath and John O’ Groats with easy access to the Northern Isles. One of Europe’s last great wilderness areas, it offers spectacular scenery, sea lochs, cliffs and miles of sandy beaches with a back-drop of towering mountains.
Our beautiful farmhouse is situated on Loch Broom with wonderful views over the surrounding hills. Near Ullapool, walking, stalking, golfing, fishing and other activities are all possible whilst staying on our sheep farm.
This high quality farm guesthouse is situated just outside Ullapool with magnificent views of the River Kanaird and surrounding mountains. Tea and coffee along with home baking is provided on arrival and packed lunches & evening meals can be provided by prior arrangement. This farmhouse is ideally located for walkers and cyclists as it is close to both the Coigach and Assynt Mountains. And for non-hill walkers, we are very close to Inverewe Gardens, Gairloch and Loch Maree.. Or you could take a cruise out to the Summer Isles to see various sea life and birds.
