Terms and Conditions of Business 2011

Prices:

4 Star Accommodation – £36.00 - £40.00
3 Star Accommodation – £30.00 - £35.00
2 Star Accommodation – £27.00 - £31.00

Price is per person per night sharing a twin or double and includes full Scottish breakfast

• Children under 12 years of age charged at £15.00 per child when sharing with 2 adults
• Children under 3 years of age, Free of Charge when sharing with 2 adults

• Single room supplement from £10.00 per night

• Double/twin room for single occupancy supplement from £15.00 per night

• Separate supplement applies for Dinner if required

Minimum 2 night stay in each farmhouse is recommended but not compulsory

All rates are:

• inclusive of VAT @ 20%
• correct at the time of going to print (Jan 2011)
• subject to change without prior notice

We reserve the right to amend the rates quoted in the event of any changes in government taxes. Such amendments will affect both existing and new bookings.

Definition of Bands:

4 star standard with either ensuite rooms or rooms with private facilities of a high standard
3 star standard with either ensuite rooms or rooms with private facilities of a good standard
2 star standard with basic facilities (shared bathroom)

Reservations:

You can make a reservation online at our website www.scotfarmhols.com alternatively complete the booking form at the back of our brochure and fax or post it to us.

• Please note to enhance your enjoyment of your Farmhouse holiday a stay of 2 nights on each farm is recommended. But is not compulsory.

2. The reservation should clearly state the following:

• name of the party
• number in the party
• number of nights
• date of arrival and departure
• locations required
• farmhouse/s preferred & code
• room requirements
• ages of any children travelling

3. Arrival is normally between 1600-1800 hours, late arrivals (after 1800 hours) must be advised at the time of booking or by telephone to the host in advance.  If the host is not advised of this they may re-sell your room. 

Scottish Farmhouse Holidays (SFH) will confirm the booking with a reservation number which must be used in all further correspondence.

Payments:

1. Provisional bookings will be held for 7 days on receipt of your confirmation. 
2. Initial deposit of 25% of the total value of the booking is payable within 7 days of receipt of your confirmation.   
3. Balance must be settled 6 weeks prior to arrival date

Methods of Payment:

1.  By Credit Card by phone or fax inc. card number, expiry date, last 3 digits on back of card, full billing address of cardholder. We accept Visa /Mastercard only or DEBIT cards.  Fax back form available.

If paying by paypal/debit or credit card a 3.5% surcharge will be added to your final account

2. Via Paypal on their website www.paypal.com using our account: info@scotfarmhols.com.   Paypal accept all major credit cards. 

3. Cheques should be made payable to Scottish Farmhouse Holidays in pounds sterling and drawn on a U.K. bank. Scottish Farmhouse Holidays cannot accept sterling amounts drawn upon a non-sterling bank account.

ALL CHARGES WHEN PAYING BY WIRE TRANSFER MUST BE ACCEPTED OR THESE WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR FINAL ACCOUNT 

Cancellations:

• Within 30 days of arrival: 25% of the full value will be lost
• Within 7 days of arrival: 100% of booking value unless room is resold

Complaints Procedure: We make every effort to ensure enjoyment and smooth running of your stay.  If you are dissatisfied with any arrangements made by SFH, you should contact our office by telephone while in the UK.  SFH accept no liability in respect of any complaint that is not reported to us during the clients’ stay or in writing within 14 days of departure

Privacy Policy:
We want you to know that Scottish Farmhouse Holidays is serious about your privacy. Please read the following privacy policy, which covers in detail the information we collect from you, how we use it to make the site better for you and how we keep this information secure. We comply fully with European principles of data protection, which say that data must be:

• Fairly and lawfully processed
• Processed for limited purposes
• Adequate, relevant and not excessive
• Accurate
• Not kept any longer than necessary
• Processed in accordance with the data subject's rights

Force Majure:
SFH will not be liable for any delay in performing or failure to perform its obligations as a result of fire, shortage of labour, strikes, industrial disputes or other causes beyond reasonable control. Other: SFH will not be liable for any damage or loss of property of the Client how so ever such loss or damage is caused and whether or not be the negligence of any servant or agent of SFH. Written confirmation either by email or fax of a booking represents acceptance of these terms and conditions which cannot be amended other than with the written approval by SFH.
